Oprahnization

"Oprahnization" is a term coined by Crackpot Press writer Mike Crackpot (a.k.a. Fistful of Murrow, Killing Joke; Mike Miller, writer) to define the negative effects of the Oprah "ideology" on society. The term has been applied to several developments or trends on social being, most recently regarding media criticism, "fiction is better than truth" from the James Frey debacle. More definitions will be added to this term as use becomes more widespread in society. To be clear, it is a negative, derogatory term, and its use does not only mean the Oprah show itself, but includes all day time talk shows (Dr. Phil, etc.).
