Orenburg Oblast (Russian: ) is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). It is located in the Privolzhsky (Volga) Federal District, and its administrative center is Orenburg.

Area 124,000 km², population 2,179,551 (as of 2002 All-Russian Population Census).

Geography

The most important river of the oblast is Ural.

Orenburg Oblast is located in the Yekaterinburg Time Zone (YEKT/YEKST). UTC offset is +0500 (YEKT)/+0600 (YEKST).
