Osmoconformer
Encyclopedia : O : OS : OSM : Osmoconformer
An osmoconformer is a marine invertebrate that regulates its internal salinity such that it is always equal to the surrounding seawater. These animals keep their body fluids isotonic to the external environments. These animals thus do not have to actively adjust their internal osmotic state. Marine invertebrates as well as hagfish are osmoconformers.
