Oto-Manguean languages

Oto-Manguean languages are a large family of Native American languages spoken in Mexico belonging to the linguistic stratum of greatest antiquity in the Americas. All languages in this group are tonal. The family consists of the smaller groups of:
- Oto-Pamean languages
- Popolocan languages
- Mixtecan languages
- Zapotecan languages
- Manguean languages (or Chiapanec-Manguean languages)
- Chinantecan languages
- The Amuzgo isolate
