Ovation Channel
Encyclopedia : O : OV : OVA : Ovation Channel
The Ovation Channel was created by Optus Television as a platform for showcasing the arts in Australia.
It is available in Australia on subscription platforms Austar, Foxtel, and Optus Television, and is available on digital cable in the United States. Due to the CSA (Content Sharing Agreement) between Foxtel and Optus it is likely that Optus will cease compiling the Ovation Channel from 2007 - it may be further funded by Foxtel or will quietly disappear (Much like the Odyssey Channel).
Program Categories include:
- Art & Design
- Australian Series
- Ballet & Dance
- Classical Music & Opera
- Concerts, Jazz & Song
- Drama, Theatre & Film
- Literature
- People & Profiles
- Specials & Musicals
