OWAFIA (pronounced oh-wha-fee-ah) is an acronym for "Oh what a fool I am!" and is typically used when an individual wants to admit foolishness while saving face by obfuscating what they mean. Individuals unfamiliar with the term are often told that it is a Native American expression that roughly means "Oh well."
