Oxychem (more formally called Occidental Chemical Corporation) is the chemicals division of the Occidental Petroleum Corporation. It is based in Dallas, Texas and is a major producer of commodity chemicals such as potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide, as well as plastics such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
