Thomas "Oyster" Burns {September 6 1864 - November 11 1928) played Pro Baseball ffrom 1884 to 1895. He started his career with the Wilmington Quicksteps, only having 7 at bats. However, when he joined the Baltimore Orioles, his talent was shown, as he hit .341 his third year with Baltimore. Later he joined the Brooklyn Bridegrooms, and he hit average for them until his last year when he turned hot and hit .351. His last year he played for the New York Giants.
