Oystermouth is the name of an electoral ward and a village in the Mumbles community and also the City and County of Swansea, South Wales. The village of Oystermouth is more commonly known as the Mumbles.
The electoral ward consists of some or all of the following areas: Norton, Oystermouth, the Mumbles, Thistleboon, in the parliamentary constituency of Gower. The ward is bounded by Newton to the west, West Cross to the north and Swansea Bay to the south and east.
Thistleboon
The village of Thistleboon is perched on the high lands in the south east corner of the Gower Peninsula. Much of Swansea's wealthy elite live here. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas have a large house here, which was built on the site of a caravan park.
