Pål Arne Fagernes (June 8, 1974 - August 4, 2003) was a Norwegian athlete.

Fagernes had a promising career in javelin throw. His best result in an international championship was a 4th place in the world championship in 1999. He placed 9th at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Fagernes won four national championships in javelin throw. He held the Norwegian record in javelin throw at 86.74 m for several years, until it was beaten by Andreas Thorkildsen in 2005. As a junior, Fagernes competed at the top national level both in cycling, athletics and cross country skiing. Fagernes also boxed one professional boxing match in the heavyweight class in 2003, which he won on knock out.

Fagernes died in a car accident in August 2003.
