Pöyry is a global consulting and engineering firm focusing on the energy, forest industry and infrastructure & environment sectors. It changed its name from Jaakko Pöyry Group in 2006. The company listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and is headquartered in Finland.

The company was founded by a charistmatic and entrepreneural individual Mr. Jaakko Pöyry who personally spearheaded its growth from a small engineering office to a global corporation in his special field of interest, forest products industry.

Today, the company operates in a broader basis, including energy and infrastructure but has broadly kept its consulting focus, which has, however, expanded from engineering to services such as management consulting and investment banking.
