- PReP, the PowerPC Reference Platform, an obsolete computer-hardware standard developed in the early 1980s by Apple Computer, IBM and Motorola.
- homework, study preparatory to classes — chiefly used at independent schools in the UK ("public schools") and at similar establishments elsewhere.
- preppy, an adjective (or noun) chiefly used in the United States of America, and traditionally referring to the perceived characteristics of white Anglo Saxon Protestants (WASPs) who attend private university-preparatory schools.
