Encyclopedia : P : PA : PAC : Pacal I
Pacal I or Pakal I (? - March 9, 612) was a ajaw of the Maya city-state of Palenque. While his dynastic position is not enitrely certain[link]. He may have been the brother of Aj Ne' Ohl Mat. It seems that he never asended to the high-kingship in his own right. He was the father of Lady Zac-Kuk one of the rare queens regnant of Mayan history.
He should not be confused with his grandson Pacal II, better known as Pacal the Great.
