Paddling may mean:

Activities involving a paddle in water, such as canoeing and kayak (compare rowing)
Any other application of the verb to paddle, i.e. to use a paddle, such as a beating given with a paddle, or to use one's limbs as a paddle, as in dog paddle swimming
Paddling pool, a recreational activity involving shallow water
