Pagan Federation
Encyclopedia : P : PA : PAG : Pagan Federation
The Pagan Federation is a voluntary organisation, formed in 1971, which campaigns for the rights of pagans and to educate the public about paganism. It organises national and local events, the largest of which is the annual Pagan Federation National Conference, and publishes a quarterly magazine, Pagan Dawn.
Critique
Critics of the PF argue that its structure has meant that it completely failed to take advantage of the "pagan boom" of the early 2000s by gaining extra members. This, it is claimed, led to other organisations springing up. This fragmentation then led to less effective use of resources in outreach for paganism, with multiple groups vying for members, and fighting between themselves.
