The Pagan Spirit Gathering (PSG) is one of the United States's oldest and largest nature spirituality festivals.  Since its inception in 1980, it has been held during the week of summer solstice by Circle Sanctuary. At first, the festivals were held in Wisconsin, but are now held at near Athens, Ohio at Wisteria.

Schedule

PSG schedules several music performers, professional pagans, and african drummers to teach classes held during the day or perform at lunch or in the evening. There are often too many things going on at once for one person to ever possibly do everything.

Among the most popular events are the Zodiac Potluck, the Magical Gift Exchange, the Candle Labyrinth, and the Summer Solstice Ritual.

Children, Tweens, and Young Elders

PSG has a very extensive program for all children and children-at-heart. The youngest kids have their own semi-Day Care center (0-7), the Tweens (8-12), a pavilion or two, and the Young Elders (13-21), at little secluded firepit in the woods. Each have their own workshops scheduled extensively.

Safety & Rules

PSG is a very safe festival. When attendees to other festivals (such as Starwood Festival) compare, PSG is most always deemed to have the safest feel. The community formed seems to nurture a safety net in which not much goes wrong.

PSG is clothing-optional. Not everyone goes skyclad, but several do.

At PSG, each adult must perform 4 hours of community service during the course of the week.

Facilities

The Wisteria campground has private showers, a swimming pond, and a coffeehouse. During PSG several vendors sell their cuisine, and at night there is always a campfire with drumming and dancing. Along the main road there is an endless string of merchants who peddle their wares.

Ending

When the week is through, everyone packs up their tents, and says good-bye for an entire year. The schedule reads:

10AM Final Town Meeting and Closing Ritual at Town Green. Come and join the community in a ritual preparation for our departure and transition back into mundania.
