The word Pala can refer to many different things:
- Pala Commune is a rural municipality in Estonia.
- Palai is a town in India.
- Pala is a town in Chad.
- Pala is a town on Atauro Island, East Timor.
- Pala is a native California tribe.
- Pala is a shorter kind of Turkish sword, Kilij.
- Pala was the region in Anatolia during the Bronze Age which spoke the Palaic language. It was to the northwest of Hattusa on the other side of Mount Asharpaya. The "Palaumniles", as the Hittites called them, worshipped Zaparwa, whom the Hittites adopted as "Ziparwa"; and Tiyaz, who was already known as Luwian "Tiwaz". Early in the 15th century Pala was overrun by the Kaskas, who occupied it to the end of the Bronze Age. It is thought to have become Blaene in Classical times.
