Panellist

A Panellist is a person who appears as part of a Panel; typically someone making up part of a committee or jury. The term is usually used to refer to a member of a Panel Show or Panel Gameshow and in the later the term can be seen as similar with the word Contestant. The shows maybe on Television or Radio, and also may have a serious or frivilous tone.
A panellist may have an area of expertise, be a comedian or a general celebrity; it is this that differentiates from a member of the public, and is intended to make viewing (or listening) to the programme a more enjoyable affair.

- Question Time - Televised weekly Current events discussion.
- Have I Got News For You - Topical Television news quiz (humorous).
- Just a Minute - Comedy radio panel show.
- Never Mind The Buzzcocks - Music based television quiz show.
