Papaya (파파야) was Korean dance music group consisting of originally 5 members (Kang Se Jung 강세정, Jou Yun Jung 주연정, Jo Hye Kyung 조혜경, Hwang Yoon Mi 황윤미 and Kang Kyoung Ah 강경아). Two of the members (Hwang Yoon Mi and Kang Kyoung Ah) left because of unpopularily before release of their second album. Rumours say that the final breakup was because of conflict between Kang Se Jung and Jo Hye Kyung. Se Jung and Yun Jung were close friends. Video of "Sarang Mandeulgi" (사랑 만들기, third track of second album, Violet) was filmed in Australia.
There's still some Papaya fans around the world trying to reunite them.
Members
Kang Kyoung Ah
Kyoung Ah was born 28 June 1979 and has one younger brother. She was the oldest member of Papaya. She did study in University of Maryland.
Jo Hye Kyung
Hye Kyung was born 20 April 1980 and has one older brother. She did study in Pu Gae High School.
Hwang Yoon Mi
Yoon Mi was born 28 August 1980 and has done work in Korean TV using pseudonym "Ko Eun Chae 고은채" after she left Papaya. She has two older sisters and did study in Dongduk Women's University.
Jou Yun Jung
Yun Jung was born 11 June 1981 and has one older brother. She did study in Dongduk Women's University too.
Kang Se Jung
Se Jung was born 15 January 1982 and has one older brother. She was the youngest member. She graduated from Jung Kyung High School and after Papaya breakup went back studying. There hasn't been much news about her since early 2004.

Cyndi Wangs song 爱你 is remake of Papayas 내 얘길 들어봐. The original version was based on children pairing game, where everyone but one have pair and when music ends, the one who doesn't drops out.Papaya did belong to same company, [istar], as Koyote.
NRG's Moon Sung Hoon used to date with Kang Se Jung.
Kang Se Jung appeared on Kim Hyun Jung's video "B Type Man".
