Partyline is a Washington, DC-based spunk rock band consisting of singer/songwriter Allison Wolfe (Bratmobile, Cold Cold Hearts, Dig Yr. Grave, Deep Lust, Hawnay Troof, etc.), guitarist Angela Melkisethian (Hott Beat), and drummer Crystal Bradley. Formed in 2004, Partyline toured the Northeast in January 2005 and covered the rest of the coast throughout March. With them they take their 24-hour party and interject it with such hot topics as Ralph Nader and what it means to be a girl.
Their debut record, Girls With Glasses, was released June 2005 and is distributed by Retard Disco. The band toured the U.S. a number of times in 2005, followed by a trip to Germany and the Netherlands for their first international shows. They then spent the end of October and every day in November touring more of Europe, finishing the year off with a hometown gig in Washington, DC.
The band spent most of the first half of 2006 writing songs for their debut full-length record titled Zombie Terrorist which they will begin to record at the end of May[link] and is scheduled to be released in Fall 2006.
The band continues to sporadically play shows around the mid-upper East Coast.
