Paul Kelly is an Australian political journalist, member of the Canberra Press Gallery and historian. He has worked in a variety of roles, and is currently "editor-at-large" for The Australian, Australia's only national broadsheet newspaper. He was previously described as the "Editor-in-chief" of that paper. He has also written several books on the political events of the 1970s and 1980s. His books about the Australian constitutional crisis of 1975 are regarded by many as the definitive accounts of the crisis.
