Pavel Annenkov

Pavel Vasilyevich Annenkov (1814-1887) was a significant Russian literary critic and historian. He was a friend of Turgenev, and correspondent of Karl Marx. He edited the first major edition of Pushkin's works in 1855.
He is known for his memoirs The Extraordinary Decade, the title of which has become attached to the Russian literary generation coming up in the 1830s and 1840s.
