Pavel Podkolzin (born January 15 1985 in Novosibirsk, Soviet Union, now Russia) is a professional basketball player in the NBA.

Podkolzin is a 7' 5", 280 lb (127 kg) center. Made his debut with Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, in the Russian 2nd Division, during the 2001-02 season. He moved to Italy on December '01, signed by Pallacanestro Varese, Metis Varese. Then was selected by the Utah Jazz and then traded to the Dallas Mavericks in the 2004 NBA Draft. He was originally available for selection in the previous year's draft, but abruptly pulled out just days before because he declared he was not yet ready to propel himself into the NBA.

Has been member of the Russian Cadets National Team...won the silver medal at the 2000 European Cadets Championship
