Pawan Kalyan (September 2, 1973) is a popular Indian film actor in Andhra Pradesh.
Personal Life
Pawan Kalyan is the younger brother of Megastar [Chiranjeevi] and [Naga Babu].His nephew is upcoming actor Allu Arjun.He is married to Renu Desai who is also an actress. He has a son named Akira Nandan, apparently inspired by Pawan's favourite director Akira Kurosawa.Entry
Pawan Kalyan entered into the films with his first movie Akkada Abbai Ikkada Ammayi.Though the film didn't live up to its expectations, everyone noticed him as a good actor with a promising future. He did some martial arts stunts in the movie which gained him good popularity. He also did stunts for some of Chiranjeevi's films.
Career
After his first movie Kalyan started choosing his stories with more care which resulted in him giving continuos hits. His second movie Gokulamlo Sita was an average garner but his next movies like Suswagatham,Tholi Prema,Thammudu,Badri,Khushi went on to become blockbusters which earned him a great reputation. All these films were dealt with different themes . Suswagatham movie had an interesting story which deals with onesided love and how students are ignoring their careers falling in love. Tholi Prema is also a one sided love story where a boy falls in love with a girl and gets inspired from her to achieve his ambition. Thammudu is typical movie where the hero achieves the goal which his brother and his father dreams of. It also has a soft love story in it. Badri is a different genre movie where a boy falls in love with two girls. It's a different kind of movie which boasts a good entertainment. Khushi deals with the problem of ego between two lovers. This film has brought a revolution in the career of Pavan and went on to become the biggest hit of that year and the biggest hit in the career of Kalyan.
After Kushi Kalyan had three more releases Johnny,Gudumba Shankar and Balu.All these three films couldn't live up to their expectations and didn't fare well at the Box Office.
Pawan Kalyan ventured himself into direction with the movie Johnny but was unsuccessful.
His recent film Bangaram which he collaborated with the makers of Kushi gained a lots of pre-release hype and huge expectations was released on may 03 2006 opened with extraordinary collections but failed at the box-office.
