Paxton Township is in the southwest corner of Ross County, Ohio. The village of Bainbridge, Ohio is in Paxton Township.

The Schools Bainbridge Elementary (now a preschool) is in Bainbridge, and the Paint Valley High School falls with in the township.

Landmarks that are inside Paxton Township are the First Dental Museum of the United States, and Seip Mound, the largest reconstructed mound in the Ohio Valley Region.
