A pebibyte (a contraction of peta binary byte) is a unit of information or computer storage, abbreviated PiB.
The pebibyte is closely related to the petabyte, which can either be a synonym for pebibyte, or refer to 1015 bytes = 1,000,000,000,000,000 bytes, depending on context (see binary prefix).
