Pegged

Pegged is an adjective used to describe:

a pegged currency, more formally called a fixed currency
a pegged exchange rate, more formally called a fixed exchange rate

Also a term used in the workplace used to describe actions that make one look foolish. Typically used in references where an employer or manager outsmarts or goes "over the head of" their employees. This can be related to schedule conflicts such as being scheduled the incorrect shifts, or changes to policies being made without notifying the employee. The term is similar to being what is considered in slang terms "punked".

Example sentence: I requested off for Tuesday, but I got put on for second shift. Shit, I just got Pegged.
