Encyclopedia : P : PE : PER : Perak football team

Perak FA (PAFA) is the parent association of Perak, a popular football team in Malaysia, currently playing in the Malaysian Super League. Perak was formed in 1921 to participate in the Malaya Cup (later HMS Cup, known today as the Malaysia Cup). It is one of the more consistent teams in Malaysian football and considers the 40,000-seat Perak Stadium as its homeground, although it has played some matches in Lumut whenever the Stadium was not available.
Perak finished third in the 2006 season of Malaysian Super League despite picking up the least number of points amongst all eight teams for the third quarter of the league.
