Peter Arno (1904 - 1968) was a U.S. cartoonist. Born Curtis Arnoux Peters, Jr. in New York, New York, and educated at Yale University, his cartoons were published in The New Yorker from 1925-1968. They often depicted a cross-section of New York society from the 1920s through the 1960s. He is interred at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, New York.Famous quotations include:
- "Tell me about yourself - your struggles, your dreams, your telephone number."
- "Well, back to the old drawing board."
