Peter Polycarpou

Peter Polycarpou is a Greek Cypriot[link] British stage and TV actor. He played Chris Theodopolopoudos in the hugely successful TV series Birds of a Feather.
He was the first actor to play the role of John in the musical Miss Saigon. He was an original cast member of the musical phenomenon Les Misérables, and has played The Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. Stars opposite whom he has acted include Madonna in the film version of Evita directed by Alan Parker, and Hugh Jackman in Oklahoma! directed by Trevor Nunn. He has appeared in several TV soaps including The Bill, Holby City, Casualty and Waking the Dead.
More recently he played a leading role in the movie O Jerusalem [link] to be released in 2006.
In February 2006, Polycarpou appeared in EastEnders, playing Yanis Pappas, father-in-law of character Carly Wicks for 3 episodes.
