Petros, Tennessee, (pronouced pee-tross) is a town located in Morgan County, Tennessee, in the United States, located on Tennessee State Route 116. It is historically a coal mining town and is also known as the home of Brushy Mountain State Prison. The coal mine scenes for the movie October Sky were filmed there.
