Phi Sigma Sigma is an international sorority founded at Hunter College in New York City on November 26, 1913. The ten founders formed the first non-sectarian sorority. Today there are over 120 active chapters throughout the United States and Canada.

The sorority's colors are king blue and gold. The official flower is the American Beauty Rose, the jewel a Sapphire. Among the sorority's various symbols are the Sphinx and the Pyramid. The Phi Sigma Sigma open motto is Diokete Hupsala meaning Aim High.

The Twin Ideals of Phi Sigma Sigma are The Brotherhood of Man and Alleviation of World's Pain.

Philanthropy

The sorority's official philanthropy is the [Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation] which supports the National Kidney Foundation. Phi Sigs have supported the NKF as their primary philanthropic endeavor since 1971 and help to educate their communities about organ and tissue donation.
