Philip of Sweden
Encyclopedia : P : PH : PHI : Philip of Sweden
King Philip of Sweden, in Swedish known as Filip Halstensson (king 1105–1118) ruled together with his brother Ingold II from 1105 or 1110 and onwards, at least in Gothenland, as successors of their uncle Inge I of Sweden. According to the law of Westrogothia he was a good king. Little else is known about him. At that time, the kings had grave difficulties in keeping Svealand under their control - there are indications that unestablished rulers (such as Philip) ruled really only in Western Gautland.
