Philippe Gilbert

Philippe Gilbert (born July 5, 1980 in Verviers) is a Belgian road racing cyclist, known as a climbing specialist. A professional rider since 2003, Gilbert rides on the 2006 UCI ProTour for the Française des Jeux squad.
In 2004, he represented his country and participated in the men's road race at the Summer Olympics. He participated in the 2005 Tour de France.
