Phill Jupitus (born March 6, 1962 in Newport, Isle of Wight) is an English comedian. He is a regular on television and radio panel shows, including BBC Radio 4's I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue and BBC Two/BBC Four's Qi, and is a team captain on BBC TWO's Never Mind The Buzzcocks. He was also a team captain on the BBC's television comedy panel show It's Only TV But I Like It in 1999.
Jupitus is also a disc jockey, both on the radio and at clubs and festivals, a fan of alternative music styles. He presents the weekday breakfast show on digital radio station BBC 6 Music. In recent years he has presented some of the BBC's television coverage of music events, such as the Glastonbury Festival. Prior to his current broadcasting career, he was a performance poet and cartoonist under the stage-name 'Porky the Poet'.
Jupitus' career began as a performance poet in the mid-1980s, and he toured as a warm-up act for Billy Bragg. He turned to stand-up comedy and worked in the offices of Bragg's record company while learning the trade.

- He is a devout fan of the Boston Red Sox, often wearing Red Sox apparel during television appearances.
- He also supports West Ham United but has revealed that he also follows Southend United.
- His left ear is pierced.
- He lives in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. Indeed, he has spent his life gradually moving along the A13. He has stated on air that his dying act should be being shot out of a cannon off Shoeburyness, at the eastern end of that road.
- He is arachnophobic.
- Jupitus once worked as press officer and MC for the band The Housemartins.
- In July 2005 he broadcast his BBC 6 Music Breakfast Show live from the home of the Medd family in Nottingham. James Medd is lead guitarist with glam metal band Trippin' Over Wah.
- He directed the video for the Billy Bragg song "Sexuality", and wrote a parody version about bestiality.
- He is making appearances on the 2006 'Hope Not Hate' tour with Billy Bragg- singing his parody of 'Sexuality': Bestiality.
