Phobos Battalion
Encyclopedia : P : PH : PHO : Phobos Battalion
The Phobos Battalion is an evil organization featured in Pokémon Trozei. Members of the Phobos Battalion serve as the story's primary antagonists and its bosses. It is represented by a Lunatone. The organization is responsible for stealing large numbers of Pokémon for their own use; the story's heroine, Lucy Fleetfoot, frequently ambushes vehicles transporting them (called Phobos Mobiles) and frees the Pokémon inside.
Organization
In addition to a legion of footsoldiers, Phobos Battalion is mainly under the command of five Generals (as opposed to Executives and Admins as in other Pokémon games), in addition to its overall leader. The Generals can all use the Rock Drop and Blackout standard attacks, with the exception of General Buzz in the normal difficulty. Rocks can only be Trozeid with Ditto, making them difficult to remove and wreaking havoc across the board. Blackout causes only the Pokémon's silhouettes to be visisble, making them extremely difficult for the eye to differentiate and therefore making Trozei opportunities harder to see. Some of them also have special attacks unique to that General.
- General Buzz — Commands the Phobos Train. He dresses in a dark green jumpsuit with a long sash and wears goggles that resemble a fly's compound eyes. While the other Generals can attack with both the Rock Drop and the Blackout manoeuvres, his only attack is the Rock Drop, though he can use Blackout in Hard Mode. He steals Pokémon primarily of the Bug-type, though he also steals Grass-type and Poison-type Pokémon. His name is an onomatopoiea of a housefly's noise.
- General Avery — Commands the Phobos Jet. He is a tall and skinny white-haired man who dresses in a dark blue robe and wears jet boots. In addition to his standard attacks, he can destroy Pokémon on the field of play, often ruining combos the player has carefully set up. He steals Flying-type Pokémon, mostly those that resemble birds. His name is a variation of "aviary."
- General Grock — Commands the Phobos Drill. Grock is a muscular man with a Mohawk hairstyle. He wears combat straps, camouflage pants, and combat boots, and he boasts weighted earrings. He reacts much more quickly than the other Generals. He is associated with the Fighting-type and Ground-type Pokémon. His name likely stems from the word "grunt."
- General Aquarella — Commands the Phobos Submarine and is the only female General. Since she spends a lot of time underwater, she wears a purple wetsuit and a bubble-like helmet. Her method of interfering is to squirt water at one of the rows, shifting it left by one unit. In Hard Mode, the Pokémon she squirts becomes a rock. She prefers the Water-type, Ice-type, and select Dragon-type Pokémon. Her name is probably a portmanteau of "aqua" and "Cinderella."
- Bang Boolum — Commands the Phobos Walker. He is the most skilled of the Generals and the Baron's right-hand man. He is a round man with whiplike moustaches and drinks wine from a goblet. He dresses in fuchsia. His Blackout attack is particularly dangerous because the Pokémon he transports look even rounder than the others in the game, making them extremely difficult to discern. He seems to steal Rock-type Pokémon.
- Baron Phobos — Overall leader of the Phobos Battalion. He is a small man with red spiky hair and large round eyes. He sits on a golden throne with giant robotic claws and a force field. He wishes to steal massive amounts of Pokémon in order to power his doomsday device, the Phobosphere. Rather than dropping rocks on top of the field, he replaces Pokémon with rocks, effectively combining Rock Drop with Avery's special attack. He specializes in Psychic-type and Steel-type Pokémon. When the player defeats Baron Phobos, he or she is automatically transferred to Hard Mode. After his defeat in Hard Mode, Forever Mode is unlocked.
