Pickering is a small town in North Yorkshire, England, on the borders of the North York Moors National Park. It is one of the oldest market towns in England, having been reputedly founded by the legendary king Peredurus around 270BC. The town serves as a terminus of the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, and is home to Pickering Castle.
