The housemates
The twelve original housemates were briefly introduced in Ang Bahay ni Kuya (English language: Eldest Brother's House), being asked by Toni and Mariel to accept the key to the house and pack up. Their faces were pixelized and they were only known by their first names. They were formally introduced with their faces and real names, as well as their pasts, revealed at the Grand Entrance Party called Ang Party ni Kuya ("Eldest Brother's Party"), held on August 21, 2005.According to ABS-CBN, all of the housemates were chosen from 25,000 people who auditioned in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao, although there were allegations that some of the housemates did not audition at all and were chosen by the ABS-CBN management.
Bob dela Cruz
Bob (born Jun Bob Dela Cruz on August 10, 1977) in Marilao, Bulacan) was one of the 13 housemates of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother, Season 1. He is the first forcedly evicted housemate on his 50th day in Pinoy Big Brother's house.
Prior to PBB, he ran for the position of municipal councilor in his hometown in the 2004 Philippine General Elections but lost. He is currently linked with Nene Tamayo.
On Day 50, Bob was brought to the hospital for observation due to stress-related symptoms and his momentary loss of consciousness the day before, all caused by a heart ailment. The next day, he was instructed never to return to the house because his 24-hour deadline to re-enter had elapsed. He did return to the house the day after his automatic eviction on (Day 51)October 9, 2005 to formally bid farewell to his fellow housemates.
After his eviction, Bob appeared to some ABS-CBN's show which include Ok Fine 'To Ang Gusto Nyo!, the now defunct Yes Yes Show Lakas!, The Buzz, among others. He is currently a special co-host of Pinoy Big Brother and an actor in the making.
Cass Ponti
Cassandra Ponti (born Lejanie Palma Anigan on March 1, 1980 in Davao City) was one of the 13 housemates of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother, Season 1. Finally after spending 112 days inside the house, Cass landed in the third spot dubbed as the Third Big Placer garnering 214,188 votes or 18.9% of total votes in the Big Night held at Clark Expo Amphitheater, Angeles City, Pampanga on December 10, 2005.Cass was an FHM model with the screen name Honey V. She's well known for her passion in cooking, Visayan accent, and being caring for others especially inside the Pinoy Big Brother's house. She is as well popularly known for mispronouncing her ex-boyfriends name Jonathan.
Chx Alcala

She's previously linked with the evicted housemates Rico and Sam. She is indeed the most controversial of all the housemates because of her liberated attitude towards her both male and female housemates. On a Luau Party for Sam Milby, Chx had torrid kissing with Sam, then later with Cass.
Chx never let Sam out of her sight during his first week in Pinoy Big Brother. [link]
During the week when both Sam and Chx were nominated, they both took a bath together a day before Chx got evicted. [link]
During her stay in the Big Brother house, several photos of her in unflattering poses were released.
Franzen Fajardo
Franzen (born Franzen Macaraig Fajardo on April 18, 1982 in Sampaloc, Manila) was one of the 13 housemates of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother, Season 1. Franzen was forcedly evicted on Day 91, November 19, 2005.Franzen, whose wife is Joy Fajardo and has one child, was one of the comedian housemates in Pinoy Big Brother's house and an emotional one that's why most Filipino audiences, specifically the lower class population, supported him so much. He was also the under-dog housemate especially during his first month inside the house. He is also known of making a habit of picking his nose at all times and playing strip games with Jason inside the Big Brother House.
Franzen has violated [numerous house rules], but despite automatic nominations, popular vote had kept him inside. His mouthing of words (of lip-synching) became the last straw. After much deliberation, Endemol decided on Day 86 (November 15, 2005) that Franzen should be evicted.[link] However, in lieu of this, Cass (who somehow understood Franzen's "words") made up her mind to voluntarily exit from the house in exchange of his retention. Since Big Brother values this, he let the public decide on whether Franzen's should stay or leave. Voting was stopped the next day after it was discovered that Franzen shared with Jason about what happened in the confession room when he was told not to (yet another rule violation). Big Brother made Franzen's automatic eviction final because of it.
Jason Gainza
Jason Gainza (born Jayson Gainza on April 27, 1980 in Batangas City) was one of the 13 housemates of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother, Season 1. Jason can now be seen in the Philippines' top rating teleserye "Sa Piling Mo" (literal translation: Together With You) on ABS-CBN 2, and on the comedy show Aalog-Alog.
Jenny Suico
Jenny Suico (born Jennifer Suico on February 3, 1976 in Olongapo City) a half-Filipino, half-American housemate of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother, Season 1. She was evicted on Day 84 (November 12, 2005).An Amerasian and a mother of one kid, Jenny used to work as an entertainer in Japan, when she got home from Japan and due to her boredome she tried to audition at Pinoy Big Brother and luckily she was chosen. She was replaced by Sam after she voluntarily exited on Day 28 (September 17, 2005) because of the condition of her ailing foster father, who died five days after due to multiple organ failure. Jenny returned on Day 56 (October 15, 2005) to become Bob's replacement by the popular vote called "The Big Switch."
Her eviction is not the first time that Jenny left the house. She chose to voluntarily leave Big Brother’s house on September 17 to be with her ailing father, who was fighting for his life at the time because of a serious ailment.
The series of events that unfolded before her voluntary exit were extraordinary. Before Jenny left the house, she claimed a miracle happened to her. Unknown to her housemates, Jenny asked a sign from God to help end her dilemma of deciding whether to stay or leave the house. Jenny sought divine intervention and asked God to give her a sign that should a guy housemate carry her, she would opt to stay in the house but should a female housemate carry her in her arms, she would leave the house.
A night before she made her crucial decision, on their way to the kitchen for dinner, Nene, for no apparent reason, carried her, prompting Jenny to finally end her mission in Pinoy Big Brother. Jenny didn’t know that she would eventually return to the house after a month.
When Bob was forcedly evicted on October 10, Jenny became his replacement when she was overwhelmingly voted by the people to return and continue her mission in Big Brother’s house. Among the four contenders of Big Brother’s big switch, Jenny ranked first in the final tally of votes garnering almost half of the total votes cast. She got 42%.
The housemates were so surprised to see Jenny back in the house. They warmly welcomed her when she returned on October 15. Jenny went back living the Big Brother lifestyle by actively participating in the tasks and caring so much for her housemates. But knowing that she already had a big advantage over them because of her “short vacation” in the outside world, the housemates decided to nominate her. She broke into tears after learning of her nomination. It was very hard for Jenny to accept her fate since she knew that her family’s future was clinging on her survival in the house. Unfortunately, the people no longer supported her in the 6th Eviction Night. Her first-ever nomination eventually led to her eviction, ending her extraordinary stint in Pinoy Big Brother.
During her stay in the house, Jenny was linked with Jason which made both her husband and Jason's wife, Denden, jealous from Jenny and Jason's closeness to one another. Although this were clarified by both parties that they were just "close friends".

The encounter was a private affair and it lasted only about 2 minutes (supposedly 100 seconds). JB "re-exited" afterwards.
