Piotr Michałowski (1800-1855) was a Polish painter, especially known for his many portraits.
His talent was long underestimated and discovered by Pablo Picasso in 1948 when he visited Poland and in National Museum in Warsaw when he saw Michałowski paintings he shouted: Here, painter !
