Player is a new TV channel that launched on 2nd March 2006 at 10pm as a sister channel to Challenge. It replaces the Player late night slot currently on Challenge. The current slot's content consists of gambling programmes, such as the World Poker Tour. The ident is the same as that of the original slot, except with yellow colouring and without the famous club p. The World Poker Tour will still continue to be shown on Challenge but no longer under any slot. Player has recently acquired TNA iMPACT!.
Recently, Player also added exclusive coverage of the FIA GT Championship to its portfolio of sports events. The channel also carries a limited amount of Serie A matches under the production of Bravo.
Player is carried on the Sky Digital satellite service and Telewest cable.
