POD may be an abbreviation for:
- Prince of Darkness, a title of Satan
- Print on demand (sometimes also "publishing on demand"), published works not produced until a copy is ordered
- Proper orthogonal decomposition, in statistics, method for obtaining approximate descriptions of multidimensional systems
- Portable On Demand Storage, a portable storage unit
- Payable On Death, often used to describe a bank account that will be paid out to a beneficiary (e.g., "a POD account")
- P.O.D., a southern California-based rock band whose name is derived from the abbreviation for the term "Payable On Death"
- Port of discharge, a shipping term used to indicate the unloading port of a voyage of cargo.
