Pop-locking
Encyclopedia : P : PO : POP : Pop-locking
Pop-locking is a collective term for popping and locking, two street dance styles that evolved in California during the 1970s. The term has been critiziced as the two dances are very different in appearance and should not be confused as one and the same dance style. The Electric Boogaloos encourage the use of the umbrella term funk styles, which has the same meaning as pop-locking but does not mix the names of the styles.
