Encyclopedia : P : PO : POR : Portland Tribune
The Portland Tribune is a free newspaper published twice weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Portland, Oregon. It was founded by media magnate Robert Pamplin to be a competitor and counterpoint to the Oregonian, the city's only daily newspaper, as well as a moderate-conservative counterpoint to liberal alternative weeklies Willamette Week and the Portland Mercury.
The paper deals almost exclusively with issues local to Portland and the state of Oregon. It features continuing columns by Phil Sanford and Dwight Jaynes.
