The Portuguese football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for football clubs in Portugal.

Structure

At the top are professional clubs ruled by the Portuguese League for Professional Football (Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Profissional - LPFP), often referred to by the name Liga de Clubes (League of Clubs) which has two competitions: Liga betandwin.com (1st level) and the League of Honour (2nd level). Below these levels are the competitions ruled solely by the Portuguese Football Federation (Federação Portuguesa de Futebol). The Federation rules two competitions: the Second Division (3rd level) and Third Division (4th level). Below that are the districtal championships ruled by the District Associations (Associações Distritais) of each region, in association with the federation; these championships are still divided in several levels according to each districts.
