Potash Brothers Supermarts were starting in Chicago's near north side in 1950. Today there are just two locations, one in the Gold Coast and one in the Sandburg Village. The store has remained wildly popular within the upperscale neighborhood despite larger chain stores moving in because of its focus on gourmet food selections.
