Przeworsk

Przeworsk is a town in south-eastern Poland with 16,600 inhabitants (2001).
Situated in the Subcarpathian Voivodship (since 1999), it is the capital of Przeworsk County.
It was a settlement in IX-XII centuries, first mentioned in historical records in the XIII century. It received its city charter in 1394. In 1772 it became part of the Habsburg Monarchy where it remained until 1918 when it became part of independent Poland.
The ancient Przeworsk culture was named after the town.
Tourist attractions:
- Basilica, built in XV century with unique chapel - Tomb of Jesus Christus (the same as in Jerusalem)
- Church with order of St Bernard
- Palace and Park of Lubomirski family
- The only one "vivid" open air museum in Poland, which contains wooden houses from Przeworsk and the closest territories.
