Pujali

Pujali is a city and a municipality in South 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Geography

Pujali is located at [22.47° N 88.15° E][Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Pujali]. It has an average elevation of 6 metres (19 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census^{[Geographic references#IndiaGRIndia]}, Pujali had a population of 33,863. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Pujali has an average literacy rate of 61%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 68%, and female literacy is 55%. In Pujali, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
