The Pulaski Blue Jays are a professional minor league baseball team in the Appalachian League. They are an advanced rookie affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays professional major league team.
Tom Compton acts as both the president and general manager (GM), the assistant GM is Jaimee Marinke. Manager Dave Pano returns in 2006 for a second season as manager, joined by pitching coach Vince Horsman and hitting coach Clayton McCullough.
Hometown
The team’s hometown is Pulaski, Virginia, USA. Pulaski is about 265 mi (425 km) southwest of Washington, DC and 220 mi (350 km) southwest west of Richmond, Virginia. The closest major city to Pulaski is Roanoke, Virginia which is about 50 miles to the northeast.Ballpark
The Pulaski Blue Jays play in Calfee Park. Calfee Park opened in 1935 and has a capacity of 2500 fans. A number of houses that surround the park have good views of games. The director of stadium operations is Dave Hart and the head groundskeeper is Gary Martin.
