Pyramides is a station of the Paris Métro. It is named after the Rue des Pyramids, which commemorates the victory in 1798 of Napoleon Bonaparte's Armée d’Orient over the Mamelukes of Murad Bey in the Battle of the Pyramids in Egypt.
