Qamarul Islam is the son of Noor Ul Islam and was born on 27th January in Gulbarga, Karnataka. He Completed his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (B.E) & was married to Kaneez Fatima on October 3, 1982 and has one son.He started his political career in 1978 and was the cabinet minister for Housing & Labour for the Government of Karnata led by Chief Minister S.M Krishna from October 1999 to May 2004. He has dedicatedly worked for the educational and economical upliftment of the downtrodden and social work in his hometown of Gulbarga,Karnataka. He is professionally an Engineer,Trader & Industrialist, Political & Social Worker,Sportsman,Educationist and an avid sportsperson who enjoys cricket and table tennis during his leisure time.
